I have been working at United Natural Foods as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

I liked how close the company was. There were plenty of opportunities for overtime, and the pay rate was competitive. I loved the four day work week.

Cons

I wasn't fond of their order picking policies (You had to pick 100 locations per hour minimum with minimal mis-picks, or you were at risk for termination). Manditory overtime was tough sometimes, with some shifts ending at 3:00 AM but these were rare cases.

I worked at United Natural Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1) Being able to buy products at discounted rates was nice.
    2) The pay and hours seemed comparable to the industry overall.

    Cons

Unorganized work environment with little positive action from management. Drivers often held to blame for many things beyond their control.

    Advice to Management

Decide that the employees that work there are primary tools by which profits are made and treat them accordingly. The hands off approach and attitude of misdirection toward customer service will foster eventual competition for the quasi-monopoly they currently enjoy.

I worked at United Natural Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Decent pay is the only thing I can think of..

    Cons

-Quick to throw you under the bus
-Talk a good game, but don't walk it themselves
-Do not care about work/life balance
    -No team work
    -Boss has no back bone
    -No bonuses...
    -Your opinion is not valued.....

***You have to see it to believe it***

    Advice to Management

The culture in the particular facility I was in was horrible. Fix the company culture and do what you say you are going to do. Want to say more but it would probably be a waste of time...
