I worked at United Stationers full-time

Pros

job was close to home with good pay & good benefits. Most of management were caring individuals. A lot of opportunity for advancement.

Cons

A lot of favoritism, advancement is sometimes, because of employee management friendship and not based on knowledge. Every five/six years they reshuffle and layoff top paid employees.

I worked at United Stationers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They believe in fostering a family working working environment, they often promote from within, willing to provide or offer training resources to enhance ones career track, lots of headquarter resources to refer to when needed,

    Cons

Not enough positions available at the entry level, because the job is so well liked, older employees are reluctant to retire from senior positions, which limits advancement opportunities, A hard company to get into because no one wants to leave.
