    Pros

Social mission, feel good to help others, generally nice people work here.

    Cons

No pay, minimal benefits, no growth opportunity, deadend job. Managers have no skills in managing, consistent throughout organization.
Good place to volunteer or come if you not looking for pay, recognition, or growth and have other means to fulfill those needs.
    Does not promote from within!!!!

    Advice to Management

Step out of old thinking and find ways to recognize and acknowlege talent on staff and get some management/business skills so can run more organization more successfully.
Find ways to develop and nurture internal talent.

I have been working at United Way full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

By working there you get the opportunity to do great work in the community and meet really important business leaders.

    Cons

It is very difficult to move up in the organization because of office politics. Leadership seems to be fond of particular individuals which stifles other employees.

    Advice to Management

Give associates the opportunity to take on additional assignments to foster an environment of continued learning and training.
