I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Challenging environment, massive projects, and working in the chaos has been educational which I'm sure I'll put to good use later in my career.

    Cons

So called "important" or "critical" projects have their funding cut often; sometimes in the beginning but often in mid-project.

Figure out if your manager is human or not before you express your belief that family comes first. Not all managers are like this, but it is better to figure out before saying anything.

So many layers of management and red tape it can be a fulltime job just deciphering who you need to talk to.

Some leaders are under the impression that steamrolling people is how you get the job done, I always thought that was accomplished by earning respect through ones actions. At least the good managers I've worked for believed that and it seemed to work for them... until they were run out.

    Standards? What standards?

    Advice to Management

If you deem a project as important, treat it as such. Stop rewarding terrible "leaders" who only want the golden parachute.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Offer a very flexible work schedule

    Cons

bonus and salary are bogus, if you get in the company low, they will never bump you to where the salary should be. Also, benefits are cheap, but you pay out the ears with medical bills

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees before they leave
