A large company that can seem overwhelming at first. Stick with it - ask a lot of questions and always stay positive will be the key to overcoming what may seem overwhelming,.

    Pros

    Great flexibility and time off!

    Cons

Quality and production or you're out the door. This company cannot keep supervisors and we watch them come and go. I've watched at least 30 people get fired or quit in the last 5 years and I've been left to regret wasting my time with this company. The whole system is a mess. The new people coming in are not trained to do much at all and it has caused much discontent. Training is horrible. Quality gives "errors" for the most ridiculous situations that have no impact on the payment of a claim. A lot of times Quality makes mistakes when giving "errors" and this could cost someone their job. I would not want a family member or good friend to take this job. Run as fast as you can in the other direction!

    Pros

For a clinician it's a 9-5. Employees get discount on UHG stocks

    Cons

    The micromanagement,

The lack of ethics, they hire license clinicians, but ask them not to stay inside their ethic, like calling professional boards or calling protective services.

The disorganization they do not believe in cross training.

They use a lot a therapists for managers, but they have never taken a management class

    They play favorites with employees

    Advice to Management

When you come up with a new idea, make a discussion not a statement. Let the people who will implementing the idea tell you the kinks and weakness before it starts, thus you will not have a team working on a illogical unpractical idea.
