    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work with some of the smartest people. In my experience, they have worked with my schedule, so that I'm able to care for my children. In call centers you are more likely to work weekends, but most employees choose to work weekends or only work one weekend day.

    Cons

Leadership is very unprofessional with little knowledge of basic ethics or management skills. Promotion into a management means only a minimal pay increase, so there is no incentive to apply for those positions. A new policy is soon to come by only being able to have three personal items on your desk at a time (i.e. hand lotion, flower, lip gloss), so during slower call times we are only able to stare into our computer screens. Computer systems run slow and often crash.

    Advice to Management

Based on my knowledge of others, this is the main income of most employees, so we need better pay and benefits. In addition, most of us are highly educated adults, so we deserve to be spoken to with respect. When employees enjoy the company they work for; in return we are more likely to be committed and work harder for the company. Its only a win-win situation for both. The turnover rate will lower and employee commitment with strengthen. You won't need hold 4 training classes at a time replacing all the employees that leave out of frustration. One out of every two employees are searching for jobs and interviewing on their days off. Once a better opportunity arises their gone. Let's be proactive and make this a more enjoyable workplace. Not by employee engagement teams and pajama day's, but by respect, benefits and higher wages.
