    Pros

This is a well-run company that is conservative in its management style. The company does not adopt the fad-of-the-week, like many businesses do, but has maintained its focus during up and down business cycles. There are plenty of opportunities for growth within the company for people who seek out opportunities.

    Cons

Not as flexible with work schedules as other companies, does not allow working from home, dress code is not casual.

    Advice to Management

Communication from senior management to employees has improved in recent months but could still use improvement. More casual dress code would be appreciated.

I worked at Universal Health Services full-time

    Pros

Cross-trained in many Cerner applications which allows you to be more rounded to understand how the various applications/systems interface the same data. Great place to start your HIT career as a new grad.

    Cons

Pay is not competitive to the market, or at least not for those who have been employed here for a few years. Work from home is not allowed though exceptions are made for some to work and live remotely. If you need to work from home, you take 4hrs of PTO to work an 8hr day from home. Inclement weather policy -- as long as the parking lots are clear, we are open and to be in the office.

    Advice to Management

Flexible work hours and competitive pay would help retain employees. Perhaps looking at years of employment and percentage of travel within job descriptions would provide a way to determine flexibility with both.
