No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Universal Orlando Resort part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Free tickets, discounts in park, free parking, a little more relaxed than Disney but stricter than Seaworld, decently priced employee food, good hours, pretty easy job.

Cons

Supervisors are ninjas who will hide in shadows (they are a little difficult to get a hold of, don't feel very hands on except when their job is on the line.), leads and supervisors tend to throw you under the bus to appease angry guests.

Advice to Management

If you want your team to enforce a rule, let them enforce it. By letting a guest break a rule (such as line jumping) because they throw a tantrum, you are enforcing their poor behavior.

Great team environment, can be a bit clicky, but if you are good at your job, you'll have no worries.

Vacations Sales should be commissioned, this would increase the motivation of the reps.

    Advice to Management

    Commission!

I worked at Universal Orlando Resort full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome FT health insurance and other benefits. Great people (Co-Workers), fun atmosphere. Guests are all on vacation so mostly it's all good attitudes.

    Cons

Lower than average salary, hard to achieve FT status.

    Advice to Management

Work with people and there schedules, it makes less no call- no shows and would improve morale. More positive feed back instead of negatives.
