Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I worked at Universal Technical Institute full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Motorcycle Mechanics Institute was a good place to work, that don't have an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, unlike its parent company UTI. People at MMI are treated well and promotions ate based on merit and hard work. Keep up the good work MMI.

Cons

Owned by Universal Technical Institute, a totally different mentality, that promoted yes people. The view of MMI is that MMI is unimportant. Many famous people got their education at MMI including a UTI campus president at the Arizona campus.

Advice to Management

MMI leadership buy the majority of shares back from Universal Technical Institute, you've been carrying UTI for too long! Disassociate yourselves from a negative image and company! MMI is profitable and always has been.

    Pros

High salary, nice location, company provides students a good education

    Cons

Culture is most bizarre I've experienced; calling it dog-eat-dog is putting it nicely. Constant directive is do more with less. Morale is low.
