The mission, and staff of the GGSC make it a place to be.

    Cons

Marketing isn't incredibly fun for me. But I'm sure it could be for someone else.

I worked at University of California Berkeley full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Collegial atmosphere, plenty of user groups and support communities. Changes in organizational IT services and management may mean better, clearer paths for learning and advancement.

    Cons

State budget means infrequent increases, failure of salaries to keep up with inflation and the marketplace. Current reorganization of IT under the Operational Excellence initiative can mean some lack of clarity and instability until they gain traction.
