I worked at University of Chicago full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

You can learn a lot of math. The campus is beautiful. Relatively budget friendly.

Cons

The master program is too intensive. You are occupied by coursework and little time is left for internship and job searching.

Advice to Management

More connection to employers and more career coaching service.

I worked at University of Chicago full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, beautiful campus, well respected academic institution, benefits were also good. The University is also doing some great things with the regentrification of 53rd street.

    Cons

There seems to be very high turnover in some parts of the University. I know that in one department in particular where they have had 11 people leave from April 1 - August 1, several were long term employees which is always a bit concerning.

    Advice to Management

I believe Sr. Management needs to determine if the really have the right leaders in place, especially in departments such as Human Resources Services where you have the ability to significantly impact change.
