I worked at University of Chicago part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

They are pretty lenient and you work with some of the sharpest minds. I enjoyed my time there because it allowed me to gain skills without too much pressure

Cons

Sometimes there was not enough to do. i sometimes had to make my own things do and occupy my time. Sometimes pushing paper

Advice to Management

Give them more to do to work

I have been working at University of Chicago full-time

    Pros

The University is highly regarded for its medical, educational and research achievements. To be affiliated with the school allows for access to its terrific benefits package, flexibility and stability in knowing that new facilities and investigators are always being sought and they, in turn, are looking for well qualified personnel.

    Cons

The University is always growing and often times feels like its invading into the neighboring community space. This causes problems when searching for affordable and nearby parking. Similarly, the work environment is academic research and is not known for high paying positions but rather for demanding results.

  2. "Smooth with few problems. Good people."

I have been working at University of Chicago part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The University has an extensive transportation system around Hyde Park available to its workers. The time system and HR work well.

    Cons

Aside from transportation and the library, there aren't many extra benefits, such as the gym. Gym membership would be nice.

    Advice to Management

Gym membership for employees would be nice.
