I have been working at University of Florida part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A very nice city. When I got there in 2006, it was ranked as one of the best cities to live in. As a graduate student, the academics is one of the most important concerns, and according to statistics, this is getting much better thanks to good air conditioners: Before 1980s, prominent scholars don't like to come to UF simply because it was too hot in the summer.

Now when you visit other state universities in Florida, e.g., FIU, you will see how much they want to be UF next.

    Cons

Job opportunity is not as good as big cities. The Wal-Mart will post a slogan of "Welcome back Students" every beginning semester ----- this is a college town.
