I have been working at University of Hawaii at Manoa full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Positive environment, not that much micro-management, co-workers generally want to help you with your initiatives and many will drop what they are currently doing to help you.

    Cons

"Same old way, same old way... If it was done like this last year, there is no need to improve it, as it worked" No incentive to innovate so many bad eggs do not update their way of work, documents, and internal processes.

    Advice to Management

Encourage innovation and heavily focus on the campus dilapidated buildings and facilities. Many buildings in disrepair, no new initiatives until the facilities are updated and can handle the innovation needed to compete and educate
