I have been working at University of Idaho full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

This university is a land grant research intensive institution, and there is plenty to be proud of here. There is an air of hard work and forward progress, and a lot of constituents that simply care.

Cons

The budget is tight... always. Many people take on roles that are often reserved for 1.5 to 3 people at other institutions, and as with almost any large organization the bureaucratic structure runs deep.

I have been working at University of Idaho as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

The university will help you in future business endeavors.

    Cons

People tend to think you should always go for another major, or for your masters then your PHD

    Advice to Management

    Look into recruiting students more.

I worked at University of Idaho full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, very much a community feel, and it is always nice to be working with students to advance the university's missions.

    Cons

Convoluted, complicated and confusing organization chart. When things go south, nobody will own up to it, and the blame gets shifted to whoever just left most recently.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees. They are the ones on the front line, dealing with the day to day politics. Support and back them. Don't force them into a tough position because you overpromised.
