Good employee benefits.
Dynamic research environment
Very close to downtown Chicago.
Great centralized research facilities.
Top 10 Universities in attracting research funding.

Cons

Administration is bad.
Paper work for anything takes forever.
Their HR department is very lethargic.

Advice to Management

Please improve business side of the things to keep up with fast paced research.

    I have been working at University of Illinois at Chicago part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Chicago is a great city and univ. is right next to downtown. There are some really cool project in every dept. The health care is very good. The electronic systems are getting better slowly but smoothly. The Rec. center is great and fairly good equipted. There are kind of great pulic transportation.

    Cons

    There is a common negetive envierment amoung the faculty,staff, and even graduate students. The dept. expect a lot. The tution diferential of this univ is higher than most of univ. but the pay is lower than the rest. There are a lot of fees and the parkings are expensive.

    Advice to Management

    Reduce the fees and promote the research more.
