I worked at University of Iowa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, everyone is nice, almost too nice at times. There is always food around for your typical college student.

    Cons

If you enjoy cubicles, work gossip than you'll love this job. Personally I can't stand that type of work environment. Also good luck trying to do anything creative.

I worked at University of Iowa part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked in the IT department, and it was overall a positive experience. The hours were flexible and everyone that works there is really friendly. Learned quite a bit about IT support and working with people. I got a regular raise in pay, as much as 25 cents per semester.

    Cons

Sometimes the work is menial, like loading and unloading trucks of equipment. One manager was occasionally condescending, but nice overall. You'll occasionally have other students that are hard to work with, but that's to be expected in any job.
