    Pros

KU Med (Preventive Medicine) will give you an opportunity to improve your skills and grow as an employee. I truly enjoyed working at KU.

    Cons

I was not offered a cost of living raise. The parking is horrible and the neighborhood KU Med is located in can be dangerous so be careful after dark.

    Advice to Management

I really don't have any advise. The PI I worked under was wonderful. My project manager could have provided more feedback on expectations but she was extremely busy with her new position and project.

  2. "Nonprofit organization with relative low pay"

    Pros

Workload is not too hard, time is somewhat flexible, and the pressure of laying off is not too heavy generally.

    Cons

Pay is way way low compared with similar position in the industry. And the office politics is somewhat complex and seems very slim chance for personal career path.

    Advice to Management

Even the pay is relatively low, the management should increase some benefit, like tuition reimbursement, short term disability, at least to attract qualified people.
