Former Employee - Postdoctoral Research Associate in College Park, MD

I worked at University of Maryland full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Postdocs have a lot of resources to help them further their careers (interview and resume support etc.). State medical insurance seems fine. Very pleasant working environment. Nice campus. Fairly easy to get to.

    Cons

Postdoc positions in the US generally don't pay all that well. And while College Park is relatively cheap, if you want to live in the centre of DC, the costs go way up, so you won't have a lot of spare cash.
