Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

I worked at University of Maryland as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

The only pro was that it at least paid something.

Cons

No classroom equipment, absent administration, no office space for adjuncts, last-minute schedule changes (we're talking the first day of class).

Advice to Management

Get computers into the classrooms to professors don't have to bring their own laptops to try to hook up to projectors. Hire enough full-time faculty to cover the classes you want to offer. Stop exploiting adjuncts to teach absolutely everything.

I have been working at University of Maryland part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interacting with a diverse body of students makes working at the University of Maryland well worth it.

    Cons

Sometimes the management can be a little harsh. Though, really, most students have low professional expectations... when you work in the "real world", you have to work.

    Advice to Management

Keep reminding students that they way they approach their part-time job at the University will prepare them for the professional realm, so slacking off/ not taking the job seriously is a bad idea.
