I worked at University of New Mexico full-time

    Pros

It was great working with both the undergraduate students and the graduate students
    The health benefits are decent
There is a lot of autonomy

    Cons

There are a lot of politics. There was not enough transparency. It was difficult to know how to do well at your job because there is not a clear set of standards. Not enough communication between higher administration and faculty.

    Advice to Management

Treat junior faculty more fairly in order to retain them
