Pros

If you are in the middle level of the hierarchy and looking towards advancing your degree, it is possible to manage work and study effectively. You will also get discounts towards your tuition fees.

Cons

A fast growing university (UNC Charlotte) means there will be a lot of work (IT Support, maintainence, etc). It is not a place you are going to love working for a long term (eg: 10-15 years). Can get a bit mundane at times.

Advice to Management

You do a good job at managing your personnel. Try incorporating periodic raises and perks, which will keep staff happy.

    Pros

They have education package, but this will depend on your boss. Some seminars are good if you are interested in research.

    Cons

Small group focusing on research and is not quite likely to grow into big group. Fundings come and go, maybe that is called research.

    Advice to Management

I guess I am satisfied with my management in general and no further comment. Student needs to focus their own business.

    Pros

highly respected institution, State retirement benefits

    Cons

No growth opportunity in my discipline; senior management in my division lacks respect for professional staff and is short sighted in meeting organizational goals

    Advice to Management

respect the dedicated staff who have the professional skills, experience and institutional knowledge to successfully maintain and enhance the University's facilities and protect the safety and welfare of its students, faculty & staff
