    Pros

I worked at the London branch, great collegues, opportunities for blue sky research, I was working on my own research plan of SuperSensing for mobile phones, i.e. infra red cameras, ultrasonic sensors on phones re hearing more than humans.

    Cons

I worked 2 day's week, 3.5 hour train, car, bus, walk, underground commute from Cambridge to London every day so had to gave it up as was asked to do more commuting, which was not in my contract, back pain made the commute hard.

    Advice to Management

Less red tape, use computers rather than handwritten documents. We all have the same passion and goals, innovation in useful computing and User Interfaces. I had my own hardware lab at home, so built useful devices. Let Researchers/ Readers use their own lab/workshop if required to build projects. I never met my manager's manager but been impressed with his work.
