I have been working at University of Oregon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People here are friendly and helpful. The culture is quite open and free. Work life balance is quite good. So it's a good place to go for graduate school.

    Cons

Focusing more on social science, so not too good for natural science and technology people. Not many choices for engineering people.

  2. "Beautiful University Setting with quick problem solving for employee issues"

I worked at University of Oregon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great peer and inter-agency networking. The university was good at listening to complaints even if they weren't always resolved.

    Cons

It still is a university setting so burnout does happen quickly if you do not invest in yourself. The pay is mediocre for some of the requirements they ask. Unequal hiring of the genders, but that could be lack of qualified applicants.
