Neutral Outlook
Approves of CEO

I worked at University of Pennsylvania part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

- Flexible Hours
- Freedom of convenience (when to finish cases, what order, how, etc...)
- Simplified Payroll Reports (online, spreadsheet)
- Access to ITA tools (antivirus, etc)

Cons

Management does not necessary understand what each case means, so they are sometimes dubious of longer cases (reformatting harddrive and reinstalling operating systems, things of those nature). However, if you are patient and explain, they are very cooperative.

Advice to Management

Make sure there is always a non-graduating student employed who understands the basic layout, so he/she can pass on their knowledge. This job is very hands-on or it is ineffective, so having a 'teacher' available makes all the difference.

    Pros

UPenn has a pretty good work environment and the benefits package (in particular, the tuition for dependents) is very good

    Cons

The University is very cheap and has many layers or bureaucracy. Completing the simplest of tasks or trying to access basic information can be quite difficult

    Advice to Management

Don't let the business office run every department; it is a non-profit learning institution, not a for-profit business.
