    Pros

I have seen many iterations of this company, and can honestly say I would never have lasted this long here if it weren't for this university's commitment to not only its students, but it's employees. The benefits are great, and I feel the current leadership team is always looking for ways to improve both the student and employee experience. They value education, and family, and work life balance.

    Cons

The fact that this university is very fast paced, and constantly evolving can lead to stress and burnout. This is a highly competitive industry, and change is inevitable.

    Pros

Love working with students, job is outlined very detailed, can get behind how UOPX treats students and the curriculum for each program

    Cons

Upper management and executive leadership is so far removed from what goes on at the student facing level that they roll out some of the worst ideas. This is the worst in enrollment department especially. I can really get behind the University of Phoenix because they largely do right by the students, but executive leadership is running the company into the ground, doing things the wrong way - trying to be conservative when they need to be more aggressive. Mostly just the execs saying what ever needs to be said to stakeholders to keep their jobs, and on down the line to directors at the expense of all other employees. The pay was once good, but they have not been competitive in awhile, i.e. no increases. Also, very limited growth in any position in any department except perhaps IT...and very political as well. Overall, could be a much more amazing place to work with great depth of talent, but so many top people are leaving due to being unhappy. Cutting costs does not equal getting top earners to leave. That only puts you in the hole more.
