I worked at University of Phoenix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free Education, Free Education, Free Education. That is it.

    Cons

If you are interested in selling your soul to enroll a student, this job is for you. I didn't play with peoples livelihood and would not enroll someone just to get there financial aid money. Thus, I wasn't a good fit. They try to fire people for things they don't give warnings for... this company is really disgraceful to higher education. Its about $$ not helping people.

    Advice to Management

Greed is a 7 deadly sin.

I worked at University of Phoenix full-time

    Pros

The majority of the people I worked with were kind, wonderful people who cared about their students and wanted everyone to succeed.

    Cons

They continually say that they are not about the numbers of students you enroll, but about the quality of student you enroll, but if you do not enroll the number of students they deem necessary, you take a hit, or you are terminated. The leads I was given are mostly years-old, over worked, and not valid. Incoming leads are typically for students who are wanting nursing degree programs that UoP did not offer or could not offer. The location of the campus is also really inconvenient for a lot of people (inaccessible by bus route for those without cars).

    Advice to Management

Move the campus closer to the Central Business District where most people have access to public transportation to get there. Do not charge more than a student can pay with traditional student loans. Do not "sell" education, educate.
