Pros

Nice Campus (Kingston)

You get to know everyone in your department.

Lively student body.

One you get to know one or two people you have a network that can help you find out what you need to do to attempt to get things done.

Cons

Do not get faculty privileges at campus events, you are treated like an normal citizen and are sometimes not allowed to partake in events.

Very old train of thought.

You need to make and keep connections to actually get even the smallest thing done.

Poor financial system... accounting office only has open hours once a week.

Advice to Management

Make it more about what you know than who you know. Hire more secretaries sharing between departments to help cut costs means you get your work done but not anyone else.

I have been working at University of Rhode Island part-time

    Pros

Friendly staff, nice students, overall a positive experience.

    Cons

Like other universities, adjuncts are underpaid and have no security whatsoever.

    Advice to Management

Show more appreciation to the adjuncts, and not only financially.
