    Positive Outlook

I worked at University of Southern Indiana full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is so friendly, great networking and most people genuinely enjoy their jobs.

    Cons

Not easy to move up and transfer to different areas of the University. They usually have someone in mind.

    Advice to Management

Supply better benefits to employees, such as discounts around Evansville for staff.

I worked at University of Southern Indiana part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits (e.g health, retirement, tuition, vacation - the typical things you find in a university), wonderful group of people in my department, the best supervisor I've had, encouraged by my supervisor to take time to expand my knowledge/skill set to better not only myself but doing my job better

    Cons

Pay slightly lower than private sector, a lot of variability from one department to the next in how things are run (a lot of departmental politics), some supervisors limit the work they allow employees under them to do which doesn't encourage growth

    Advice to Management

Give employees more opportunities to take on projects, get a better handle on departmental politics that brings down the department/support staff/students
