I worked at University of Texas at Austin part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

UT Austin has all the resources a student could want; great researchers, great facilities, great environment. There is also a lot to do at the university and in Austin. At the math department, the staff was very efficient and helpful. The workload can be large for a math TA when teaching calculus. This last is not as bad as it seems, though; one learns to teach.

Cons

Very few cons. I do not remember anything that bothered me to much. As mentioned above, sometimes the workload can seem large. specially at the beginning.
