I worked at University of Toronto part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Teaching assistants get free spending account of $800-100% coverage in terms of dental, medical care. You can even buy prescription sunglasses with this insurance as long as you work 50 hours or longer.

Cons

Long hours of preparation
No formal training before induction
They typically don't hire undergraduate students for certain programs

Advice to Management

More evaluations required for employees- don't waste students' tuition fees!
