i had the opportunity to work with numerous individuals from various backgrounds

    Cons

the salary range was less than ideal as there were limited other opportunities within the area.
Management was not always in tune with the staff's needs

    Pros

Free tuition for up to 15 credits per year, great benefits, UVM understands the work-life balance & will help maintain it, friendly people, my department is more generous than most with the raises

    Cons

Administrative headaches, different systems run by different departments with lots of overlap, free tuition benefits are not accessible to everyone equally, poor salaries, I've seen people dressed down on a very personal level by some overreaching higher-ups

    Advice to Management

create a uniform system for reviewing employees - I am one of the few who gets reviewed, but it seems very subjective & "on a whim" as to whether I will get a glowing review or an awful one
