I have been working at University of Virginia part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The University of Virginia is a great place to work. The culture, traditions and values are the best I've ever experienced. The staff and employees are treated well by their supervisors and there is a relaxed feel.

Cons

Being stuck at part-time is disheartening. It seems that every position starts part-time and those who pay their dues can advance to full-time with benefits. Many good talents are lost because of more lucrative offers.

Advice to Management

Keep good talent at the University by hiring them full-time. Cut employees who don't seem to care of work hard.

    Professors can be very demanding.

    Advice to Management

Nothing really. I think UVa is better managed than most colleges.
