I have been working at University of Washington full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Medical benefits are outstanding in a low-stress environment. Not a bad place to work if you are looking for a secure, low paying job and have a medical condition. Performance evaluation process and unions make it difficult to get fired. WA state labor policy appears to make downsizing difficult.

    Cons

From an administrative perspective, does not appear to be a good place to work if you are in a management position and appreciate efficiency. Internal training programs appear to be non-existent for administrative staff.

    Advice to Management

Conduct formal, biennial (at a minimum depending on performance) performance reviews of lower-level support positions.
