I worked at Vail Resorts full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Awesome perks of getting to ride every day and mot of the work consists of driving machinery or riding quads. Cool ski area culture and good people to work for at least the park managers.

Cons

Pretty bad pay but is to be expected from a ski area. Also since Vail bought them out there is red tape in doing every thing and it seem to have made every one more stressed out.

Advice to Management

Build bigger jumps and don't show them to upper mgt.

I worked at Vail Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

work environment has to be one of the best on earth. Doing this as a career leads to some pretty cool perks down the road like discounted stays at other vail resorts and rock resort locations. work your way up with certs and teaching higher level riders is just like riding with friends but give you the ability to skip the lift line.

    Cons

the fact that you have to hustle a tip to make the day even marginally monetarily valuable. Dont plan on living a lavish unless you have a high paying job the rest of the year or a 2nd job during the season.

    Advice to Management

give instructors more per hour or the ability to work more hours.
