"Great Perks, Low Pay"

Pros

They offer free season pass, great discounts, fun coworkers. It is a beautiful place to live and an incredible place to ski and snowboard.

Cons

The pay doesn't support how expensive it is to live in summit county. I would love to make it a career but the pay is not enough

    Pros

Great work-life balance, it is a ski resort company by all means, fresh air, free skiing, amazing views

    Cons

pay isn't the best, work is seasonal for most employees, hard to get one of the few year-round positions

    Advice to Management

shouldn't acquire anymore resorts in places where snowfall isn't consistent (i.e. Tahoe)

I have been working at Vail Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

ski pass, fun co workers, great area to live in, benefits

    Cons

pay is terrible, company doesn't care if you stay or go, everyone is replaceable.

No chance to move up, all the bosses are old ladies that have work in the same office for 20+ years. Promotions are there but you get a rise of about 25 cents and your workload will triple.

    Advice to Management

build long term, invest in your employees instead of just replacing the entire office every season. If you actually paid your year round employees a competitive amount they wouldn't be constantly leaving and you wouldn't be replacing them with fill in random people.
