I have been working at Vantage Deluxe World Travel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    location... and that's about it.

    Cons

    - management
    - fear-based culture
    - high turnover rate

No one is spared humiliation by the CEO, and senior management won't stick up for you. The culture here is so grim, it's no wonder a handful of people leave every month.

    Advice to Management

CEO needs a refresher course in how to manage a team/company. People don't react to negative reinforcement and belittlement. Yelling, swearing, and threats will get you unsatisfied employees that aren't motivated to sell your product.

I worked at Vantage Deluxe World Travel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Convenient location near North Station

Some good employees to commiserate with

    Casual dress

The constant high drama can, at times, be entertaining (like a bad reality show)

    Cons

Abusive culture of fear, instituted by the owner

60+% turnover rate; higher in senior management

Unrealistic workload, deadlines and expectations; pressure/demand to work evenings and weekends

Owner runs frequent large meetings and degrades employees and their work (no matter how good it is) in front of their peers. Expect yelling, swearing, and personal insults. Seriously.

Family-unfriendly; don't expect to be able to leave a half-hour early to catch the last inning of your kid's baseball game

Infrequent raises and bonuses are entirely at the owner's discretion

    Advice to Management

Ramp up your job search; you won't be there long.
