plenty of smart people, decent product, relatively good base pay

products we're selling are priced so high, combined with high quotas, that it's very difficult to achieve quota and make full OTE. the worst is the corporate culture though, and work/life balance and time off policies. I was lied to during the hiring process and not told that the time off policy doesn't allow time off during the last month of each quarter or during the last quarter of the year - that's six months, or half the year! combined with a culture of micromanagement and blame rolling downhill to customer service or the account teams when deals don't go through because the price is just too high. I had to get out before my family left and I died of a heart attack while chained to my desk
