    Pros

    - You organize your own schedule. You are like your own boss. - Management is helpful, professional, and kind. Never had any issues. - Good tech support. - You can get matched with tutees that match your skills quite easily. - They send monthly employee newsletters to keep you connected. - It's ALL face to face virtual. You can save on car gas. - Platform is easy to learn if you put time into it before and after your first session. - It is a good company to work for. - You get paid twice a week.

    Cons

    - If you get contracted to teach a class with a group of students, but not enough clients sign up, the class gets cancelled, and you don't get paid. However, you can still get paid by teaching "instantly" through the Varsity system and regular clients. - You have to build a client base to work enough hours. - This was mainly a supplemental income job. - no benefits are given to independent contractors

    Flexible Work

Nov 27, 2021 - Tutor in Indianapolis, IN

    Pros

flexible schedule, great for students; online tutoring platform works well and has a lot of practice questions available

    Cons

they charge your clients $75+/hour for your work and you get paid $15, it's hard to justify to clients sometimes why it costs that much when most tutors on the platform are college or grad students themselves
