Professional advancement is based on merit: I was promoted from project manager to program manager after one year at the company (I was there for three years) because the performance of my account had significantly improved and stabilized since my arrival, the client and upper management were happy with the decisions I made and trusted me and my judgement. My supervisor didn’t hesitate to allow me to work from my home country for 3 weeks when one of my parents was ill, even my clients were supportive and understanding with the situation. 5.
