I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

you can make your own paycheck in some locations

Cons

a lot of dishonest and shady upper management

Advice to Management

start over. your employees are unhappy and the best ones do not want to be promoted. the ones getting promoted are the ones that could not make it in sales. therefor they do not know how to lead a sales team

    Pros

Verizon Business is a fast paced telecommunications company with multiple lines of business. They value innovative thinking and integrity. Cloud computing and security services are at the top of the product food chain. Training is highly valued and they pay and provider ITIL and PMP trainig,

    Cons

It is easy to get lost in the fray. Most employees have been there for a long time and there is no real on the job training focus for new employees. There is product training and sales/service training but once you are back in you home base it is very difficult to suceed.

    Advice to Management

Sucess in a verizon business sale branch for a new sales employee is almost impossible.

I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Verizon Wireless offers a good benefits package (paid time off and health care)and my co-workers were nice people to work with. The company is responsive to market changes and is able to move quickly for product launches.

    Cons

The hours were not good for my workgroup, my specialty group had to work nights, weekends and holidays so there was no opportunity no life-work balance. The company outsources too much to save money, and has consolidated offices in less expensive parts of the country.
