Pros

Benefits and Pay are top notch

Cons

From personal experience, the few management staff really don't do the job well...but that doesn't speak for all of them

Advice to Management

don't belittle your staff; trust the expertise of the people who do the job day in and day out.

    Pros

    Very diverse. Great benefits. Very good pay scale. 401k matching dollar for dollar.

    Cons

    Some people don't know how to be a team player, or realize that they are part of a team that needs to succeed together.

    Advice to Management

    Be mindful that not everyone learns in the same manner as the next person. While wannting to be the best, it's necessary to be humble some time.

    I have been working at Verizon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Benefits were very good
    - Pay was average
    - Customer brand awareness helped win business
    - Ability to collaborate with well known businesses provided a good sense of accomplishment
    - Direct supervisors were down to earth, listen to problems, and were able to create a family atmosphere in a large company reality

    Cons

    - Compensation plan was complex and always changing
    - Upper Management was always changing - Legacy Verizon, Verizon Business (fMCI), Verizon Wireless - Very little accountability
    - Difficult company to advance and grow career from within
    - Too many systems to navigate from day to day
    - Poor Lead generation
    - Internal sales resources never had any accountability and not enough "skin in the game"

    Advice to Management

    - Pick an executive management team, corporate strategy, and mission - Truly believe in it - And stick with it!!!
