Pros

Allowed to work from home
The pay is good
They do provide Cisco training
Not much on-call work, since the NOC covers most network issues

Cons

Have to fill out your own eperformance three times a year for review (start of year,Mid year and end of the year).

Advice to Management

Management treats people well and I can't say I have any issues with Management.

I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

UNION JOB. Good pay & benefits.

    Cons

Everything except the pay & benefits !
From the very day you complete the 3 month company paid training, the management harasses the employees & attempts every way possible to get you fired. The technology's that Verizon gives the workers to do their jobs with are outdated & insufficient. The workers are expected to do their jobs at a particular speed, yet the company provides tools insufficient to do so which leads to unnecessary high amounts of stress to both the employee & customers alike ! Constant threats of disciplinary action are made to the employees by the local management leading to unnecessary amounts of stress which leads to large numbers of employees using their allotment of vacation time to deal with their stress caused illnesses !

    Advice to Management

Stop using their "Hitler" form of management & start treating the many hard working employees with the same respect that they would want to be treated !!

    Pros

Great Company great benefits great pay

    Cons

Higher to many uneducated people and push them to sell sell sell while making the goals unattainable. Also rewarding the people who are unethical which have given the company a bad name.

    Advice to Management

Stay on top of people not showing up for work and not producing and also the people that are producing unethically.
