Pros

The company is huge and there is always work for you to do and learn.

Cons

Because it is a big corporation, it's unwilling to change and and update their technology.

Advice to Management

Please take your time on technology part and not on the number.

I have been working at Verizon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Name, Good Reputation (lots of acquisitions) broad portfolio, good teammates, everyone is "in" 110%, I have seen a lot of internal promotions, gobs of resources (although they get re-shuffled every year)

    Cons

Top heavy with management, and Internal Process extremely cumbersome, and repeitive, one would think we are still in the 1980s, not 201X. But the database is hughe, but there must be a better way. Like Uncle Sam, spends money on marketing, not on the internal process. Management will cut well beyond what hurts. People are used to waiting. Sales Prevention Department at its best.

    Advice to Management

Spreadsheets look nice, but dont win deals. there is a difference between what Sr Mngt would like to sell services for, and what "the street" price is. Cant sell 2X of value. Finally, need to find a better/quicker way to get services implemented..

Verizon seems to be a Law firm, that owns a Telephone Company, that wants to be in the Cloud business.
