I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The varied work, the opportinities for lateral and upward mobility. great benefits good people a place that your thoughts and ideas are always welcomed. If you are willing to work hard and give it your all, you will always have a rewarding career at Verizon

Cons

I cannot think of CONS at this time. other than I did not appreciate the "game change" in 2005 when the funding of the pensions stopped. But that is the way of corporate America today not fair to say a Con specifically for Verizon

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing Lowell. Upper Management has a lot of talent and the company will surely do well with the team in place

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salary, commission structure and health benefits. Above average pay and benefits. Great co workers.

    Cons

Stress level is high. I am not sure the same could be said for all Verizon contact centers. Management has a tendency to bring down morale and micro manage. They have lost many good employees due to these issues.

    Advice to Management

Give sales reps room to breathe. Allow them to be proactive in their calls and not so scripted.
