I worked at Verizon full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Compensation was good. The location was great.

Cons

Verizon reorganizes every 3 months (or more) and people are moved into roles that they aren't interested in and for which they have no qualifications. It doesn't seem to matter at Verizon - you will stay employed and may have absolutely nothing to do.

Advice to Management

Figure out who is doing what and stick to it for more than 3 months!

    I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    The compensation was good and support team was very good. The company had a decent reputation allowing access to customers. The management team was very good. Technical team was well trained.

    Cons

    Very large, often times creating a bureaucracy that caused decisions to take longer than necessary. Management structure was complicated. Although tech team was well trained resources were sometimes stretched making it difficult to get help when needed.

    Advice to Management

    Speed up the decision making process. Build up the size of the technical staff.
