I have been working at Verizon full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Slackers do well because you're not a threat to the powers that be.

Cons

Attempting to pursue a career will get you snuffed out by greedy self serving Directors who's agenda is solely to climb the corporate latter. They have no desire to see you excel. Many have sacrificed their youth only to find themselves no better off than when they started. They will only outsource your job as soon as feasible. However they fall asleep each night counting their money.

Advice to Management

Management's role is to play the 'bad guy'. They have no real authority.

    Pros

    The wireless business is strong, and well run, basically props up the other business units. The Consumer business is also well run, very different dynamic.

    Cons

    The Enterprise business is a burden to the company until it begins to show growth, they lack vision, direction and investment is inadequate to compete effectively.

    Advice to Management

    Decide what you want to do with the Enterprise business and do it...do something, it's a mess. Spin off Wireless and create more value for stock holders.

    Management is Very helpful and accommodating given the
    Situation we are dealing with

    Systems are very difficult to use.

    Computer programmers need to step up their game and get these systems up to daate
