I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The pay and benefits are great! Hours are not extremely bad considering how much money you will make. Networking possibilities are endless!!

Cons

If you have small children you will not see them often. Verizon is not exactly a family friendly company.

Advice to Management

Advice: Hold on to the good people you have instead of backing management who were probably a mistake to begin with. It really makes you miss out on potentially amazing leaders! And enables trouble areas to remain trouble areas. Old dogs, new tricks!

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Stable and growing. Cellular industry sees no decline, especially from a support standpoint.

    Cons

Very few job opportunities outside of customer service. Customer service has brutal hours, especially starting out. Do not expect to have Saturdays and Sundays off or "normal" hours. Training feels geared towards those right out of college and has a very juvenile and unprofessional feeling to it.

  2. "Very great starter company to work for the knowledge and training they provide is very valuable to other companies"
