I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time

Pros

excellent pay and benefits, and incentives

Cons

Supervisors a trained to assume that the caller, customer will have to call back and can affect your coaching for the moth with failed calls, even though the caller said you addressed everything that they needed.

Advice to Management

Management is great!

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The kids that work there are chill. You get a small dicount on phone/plan/accessories. Flexible hours, not that busy, relatively pretty easy retail job.

    Cons

This is a Franchise of Verizon. This means they can act like a Verizon Corp store, but cannot do things that corp can do. So if we have a problem we call Verizon Corp.... essentially these are retail stores making money off the accessories, upgrades and activations. Thats why the owner makes bank.....$8 p/hr + commission. However, if you do not meet your quota, then you do not recieve your commission... which is around $300-$1500. So you end up making $8 p/hr and get taxed on top of that (which is like $600 p/month!! hahaha a joke, and the gas that takes you to drive to work, and the occassional lunches & coffees you purchase during an 8 hour shift... yea not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Increase the base pay of $8 p/hr. Provide guaranteed commission and upgrade each individual store... new paint, deep clean (store & bathroom), not entirely compose management of family members (owner is Persian and the list of employees are extensively persian). I would work for Verizon directly.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tuition payment program is amazing. This is a great option for a working student. They pay $8000 a year on school

    Cons

The schedules change every 6 months or so. And the hours are very random.

    Advice to Management

Many of the employees felt overly judged by the supervisors when it came to little things in their calls. Others complained that the supervisors nick-picked the calls for minor errors. Bonuses are based on quality and the judging was very subjective by the supervisors.
