I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Best carrier and Best network to work for. Good products to sell and great commision plan. Product sells it self and they dont do HARD sells.

Cons

Very lengthy hiring process to get on. Way to many interviews and the training is kinda lengthy. But I guess they only want the best.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They try to make it fun, healthcare starting day 1. You get up to 35% pay bonuses for working on Sundays and Saturdays. For holidays you get time and a half and can sign up based on seniority. Since you are on the phone, you can dress like you want and they encourage you to get comfortable. They try to make it cool and fun, but they do take customer service seriously.

    Cons

It's a call center, you have about 50-75 calls per day and about 20% of them are pissed off about billing issues or their phone not working at all. You have to work in the position for a YEAR even if you are over qualified.

    Advice to Management

Change the opportunity for growth, the argument that it takes a year to 'master' the call center position is a silly assertion. With the amount of money that you are investing in training the associates why would you make them wait to advance with the company, when there is a possibility that you could lose them.

Things can get overwhelming especially when there is a new device release, but preparedness is implemented throughout the whole time.
